The Energizer Night Race, a safe and eco-friendly run

Variety is the spice of life, and the same is true for runners, who also like to mix things up in regard to their routine and their training. This need for variation extends all the way to the events and competitions in which runners participate.

To satisfy different quirks and fancies, event organizers have explored a multitude of ways to keep the running community on their toes. This includes running competitions with added obstacles, on off-road tracks and, most recently, holding races at night.

My Favorite Diadora Jersey

by carlo on April 7, 2013, no comments

Thank you Diadora for this very useful jersey. I swear this has been the best jersey I wore. It is very cool inside the body plus the texture is very soft and I am wearing this almost all the time.

When I’m walking, biking , doing Yoga and many more.

Running in the Philippines: I run with Diadora

by carlo on April 2, 2013, no comments

Diadora

Thank you Diadora PH for believeing in me. Despite of my non competitive runs you still gave me the chance to promote running and the good benefits of it.

During the Philhealth Nationwide Run held at the Quirino Grandstand another different kind of experience was added to my life.

So What are the changes when we run?

I get to exercise and stretch every part of my body. Specially when you work hard in a day and you sit for a log period of time.

Healthy lifestyle is the most important thing running can give, and then losing weight follows.

When I see my pcitures I can’t believe that it’s me. When you feel good you will look good. Running increases lung function. I can breathe better. I feel good about it.

It boosts the immune system and it lowers the risk of developing blood clotting.

Stress free. I tend to forget all my problems. And whenever I think of it I become mentally prepared and easily move on.

It eliminates depression, boredom and loneliness.

Maricel Laxa finishes a 42K marathon run at 42 on Feb 24

by carlo on March 12, 2013, no comments

For me running a marathon all 42 kilometers of it is no easy feat, even for seasoned athletes. So it is especially remarkable to see moms as well who not only raced to the finish line, but also did some milk expression along the way.

Maricel Laxa, with participating moms, were provided two breastfeeding booths special pit stops by Philips Avent, the brand Number 1 recommended by moms. These pit stops housed the Philips Avent breast pump, and were the first of their kind in any marathon.

Maricel said that going for long hours without expressing milk to feed our infants can cause anxiety to us nursing moms. And this is true even during a run! It was a relief to know that Philips Avent was behind us mothers in this race.
